Confidence is our Colvic Victor 34 Cruiser. She was purchased by AOTW in late 2020 following a remarkable fundraising effort. Confidence will eventually become our main vessel within the charity and will prioritise offering opportunities to people with autism to get out on the water.
Confidence is very comfortable both on deck and below deck. She sails with a full suit of Owen Sails, her ropes are all by Marlow Ropes, her navigation equipment are all by Raymarine and she carries all the latest safety equipment and has the advantage of indoor steering as well as outdoor steering. She sleeps 6 crew on board, has a fully stocked galley and a working toilet and shower cabin. On the water, she is very stable and safe and is capable of looking after everyone on board and providing a safe and fun experience for all to enjoy.
AOTW is our Hunter 707 racing yacht. We bought her in 2018 and have been campaigning her across Scotland and further afield ever since. The 707 campaign is our awareness program where the team take part in big regattas such as the Scottish Series or West Highland Yachting Week to promote what our charity does to help people with autism. It is also a chance for other sailors and members of the public to see what we do as well.
AOTW is a fully equipped one design 707 and races with a suit of Hyde and Elvstrom Sails, she is equipped with Marlow Ropes and Harken deck gear, carries all the required safety equipment, used a Toshaba 3.5hp outboard to get in and out of marinas and when not in use, she sits on her double axel trailer and is towed to various location across the country by road.
We are proud to be a member of the 707 Class Association and enjoy some of the best one design racing in Scotland. The 707 fleet is a welcoming fleet and can at times have up to 20+ boats out in their own class. Our top speed with AOTW on record is 22.3 knots!
